Project AIR5431 Phase 2 shall introduce nine new FDATCSS systems into the ADF. These systems will replace existing Australian Defence Air Traffic System (ADATS) radars at RAAF Bases Darwin, Townsville, Amberley, Williamtown, and Pearce/Gingin, Naval Air Station Nowra and ALENIA radars located at East Sale, Tindal and the Army Aviation Centre Oakey.

Fixed Defence Air Traffic Control Surveillance Sensors

The FDATCSS Mission System will consist of sensor hardware, software, quantity nine radar towers, radomes at RAAF Darwin and Townsville and quantity seven Independent Automatic Dependant Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) ground stations. The Support system will consist of spares, publications and an Operational Maintenance Trainer at RAAF Amberley.
